Throttle assembly

The amount of incoming air depends on the position of the throttle valve (1) (see. Fig. 4.81), located at the inlet of the intake manifold.
The position of the damper depends on the position of the gas pedal. The air necessary to ensure the correct operation of the engine at idle passes through the bypass channel (2) (“bypass” channel), the cross section of which is adjusted using the screw (3).
By changing the position of the screw, the amount of air entering the manifold changes, which in turn affects the XX frequency. The second screw (4) with a lock nut allows you to set the position of the closed damper so as to prevent its edge from closing with the body.
This screw cannot adjust the XX frequency. The XX frequency is only adjusted after the Transporter T4 .
