Power supply systems for gasoline engines
The power system of the T4 engine includes: a fuel tank, an activated carbon tank - a fuel vapor filter, fuel lines, a fuel filter, a fuel pump and a fuel injection system.
2.0 and 2.5 liter engines are equipped with a Digifant engine management system, VR6 engines are equipped with a Motronic system, which has approximately the same principle of operation. Both systems are fully electronically controlled, manual adjustment is very limited. The fuel tank is located on the bottom of the T4 Transporter , at the level of the seats. The tank is equipped with a ventilation system that ensures equal pressure outside and inside the tank.
The power supply system can be conditionally divided into a subsystem for supplying fuel to the engine and a subsystem for supplying fuel to the combustion chamber. The scope of work that can be done independently on injection and ignition systems is very limited.
