Handle and door lock - removal and installation
Removal
If it is necessary to dismantle the lock, then first remove the outer door handle.
♦ Remove the door trim panel as described above.
♦ Loosen the screws (1) and remove the outer door handle (see arrow fig. 486).

♦ Unscrew the button of the manual drive of the lock in the door opening.
♦ Lift the glass up to the stop.
♦ Disconnect the link on the inside of the door panel that connects the inside door release handle to the lock.
♦ Loosen the screws (1) and remove the door lock together with the rods.
Install in reverse order. Tighten all screws to 8 Nm.
