Handbrake (parking brake)

T4 Conveyor handbrake is used to ensure a stationary position of the car in the “parking” mode, as well as to pull the car when driving uphill with stops.
In the northern and central regions, in winter, when storing the car in an unheated garage or on the street, it is not recommended to use the parking brake for long-term parking, due to the possible freezing of the brake pads. Use first gear. ♦ To apply the parking brake, pull up the parking brake lever (handbrake T4) strongly enough, but not abruptly.
If there is a large slope of the road, it is recommended to additionally turn on the 1st gear or set the “P” mode (from the English “Parking” - parking) of the automatic transmission. In this case, it is not recommended to use the "P" mode instead of the parking brake, otherwise the drive of this mode can quickly fail. The parking brake lever must also be sufficiently cocked so that it will not be possible to subsequently move away with the parking brake not fully released. When the handbrake of the Transporter T4 is tightened and the ignition is on, the brake system control lamp lights up.
♦ To disengage the parking brake lever, pull up slightly, press the button and move the lever down to the stop.

Safe operation of the Conveyor . Castle Transporter T4.
