It is recommended to turn on the reverse gear only after the car has come to a complete stop.
With the engine running, fully depress the clutch pedal to avoid grinding when shifting into gear. When the ignition is on and the reverse gear is engaged, the reverse lights come on.
While driving, it is not recommended to leave the right hand on the gear lever handle, the force from the hand is transferred to the gear forks, which can lead to accelerated wear of the forks.
