Airbag - removal and installation
Removal
Before starting work, read the safety instructions.
♦ Switch off the ignition (ignition key in the "O" position).
♦ Remove the terminals from the battery.
♦ Place the steering wheel in the middle position, the wheels should be in the “straight forward” position.
♦ Using the appropriate wrench, unscrew the bolts securing the airbag assembly, which are located on the back of the steering wheel.
♦ Raise the airbag assembly and disconnect the airbag wiring connector ♦
Check the disconnection of the terminals from the battery
♦ Connect the connector to the assembly, it should click into place with an audible click
♦ Insert the assembly into place, bolts fasteners tighten to a torque of 6.5 Nm
♦ Switch on the ignition first, then connect the terminals to the battery, as otherwise there is a risk of injury if the airbag is accidentally deployed.
