Spark plug
Volkswagen T4 spark plugs is 14 mm.
The manufacturer recommends the use of special spark plugs, which are sold as VW parts under part number 101 000 025 AA. After every 10,000 km of run, it is recommended to clean the candles, and after 30,000 km of run, any candles must be changed.
When adjusting the gap, never bend the middle electrode, as it is easy to damage the porcelain insulator.
Before removing the spark plugs, check that the spark plug recesses are clean.
A washer, screw, or pebble in the spark plug hole can destroy the valves, valve seats, or cylinder head the first time the engine is started. The tightening torque of the candles is 20-30 Nm. By the appearance of the candles, one can draw a conclusion about the condition and operation of the candles, about the composition of the air-fuel mixture, about the general condition of the engine (pistons, piston rings, etc.).
