Fuel tank - removal / installation
♦ Remove the terminals from the battery.
♦ Drain the Volkswagen Transporter T4 of fuel.
♦ Remove the clamping ring (10) from the filling cone (11) and remove the rubber cone. Loosen the bolt (12) (see fig. 260).

♦ Place a jack under the tank and slightly raise the tank T4 Conveyor.
♦ Loosen the bolts (5) and remove the fuel tank straps (6)
♦ Lower the tank on the jack.
Loosen the fuel line clamps at the fuel level sensor and remove the return (16) and supply (15) fuel lines. ♦ Disconnect the fuel gauge electrical connector.
♦ Lower the tank down and out from under the car.
Installation of the T4 tank is carried out in the reverse order.
