Removing the engine in vehicles with automatic transmission VR6
Removal of the Volkswagen Transporter T4 is carried out in the same way, but with the following differences:
♦ Unscrew the throttle link assembly mounting bracket from the block head.
It is impossible to change the position of the thrust parts. ♦ Loosen and/or disconnect all shift lever connections.
♦ If the gearbox is to be separated from the engine after disassembly, the fluid coupling must be disconnected from the drive shaft.
It is attached with three screws. Turning the engine crankshaft 120º. one by one, unscrew the screws appearing from the bottom side. ♦ When reassembling, install the removed parts in reverse order.
♦ Strictly follow all recommendations for manual transmission engines.
