Disassembly of the diesel engine block head
♦ Remove all accessories
the Transporter T4 Remove five or four nozzles from the head and place them so that they are not damaged during storage. Remove the spark plugs as well. ♦ Secure the block head in a vice to the bracket attached to the exhaust manifold studs.
Remove the camshaft (see below). The valve remover and installer is part number 2037. Compress the springs and remove the valve cotters. The valve must be marked with the cylinder number to facilitate subsequent assembly. ♦ Remove the nut and valve.
Remove the valve stem seals from the valve guides. The tool is best for removing them. To remove the lower spring plate, you can use tool 3047 or pliers for internal circlips.
