Mirrors

Installing T4 Mirrors

Rear-view mirrors on the Volkswagen Transporter T4 should be installed before starting a trip so that it is convenient to observe the traffic situation behind the car.
Interior mirror with anti-glare effect
In the basic position, the lever on the bottom of the mirror must point forward.
To provide an anti-reflective effect, move the lever back.
Side outside rear-view mirrors are adjusted by pressing the mirror around the perimeter (the mirror housing is fixed).
Cantilever mounted exterior mirrors are adjustable by moving the mirror housing.
The exterior mirrors of the Power Conveyor are adjusted by pressing button A (see Fig. 12) on the decorative panel of the driver's door.
By pressing one of the upper buttons L and R, the mode is switched from the left exterior rear-view mirror to the right one.

If the electric drive fails, you can manually adjust the exterior mirrors by pressing the mirror around the perimeter.

Electrically heated mirrors of the Conveyor T4

After starting the engine and turning on the heating of the rear window, the intensity of heating of the electrically driven exterior mirrors is automatically adjusted depending on the air temperature.
Heated exterior mirrors and rear window switches off automatically 5 minutes after the heated rear window is switched on.
If necessary, it is recommended to move the switch to the "off" position and turn on the heated rear window again. The exterior mirrors of the car can be pressed against the body.
To do this, bend the mirror housing to the car body until the latch is activated.

Console mount mirrors can also be folded. However, their fixation in the folded position is not provided. Returning the T4 mirrors to the working position

Press the mirror against the body to release the latch, press the latch (see arrow A, Fig. 13) and fold the mirror.
