Oil filter - replacement
The filter element Transporter T4 is replaced at the intervals specified in the maintenance manual, as well as with each engine repair.
To unscrew the filter element, use a special wrench or do it with a screwdriver, hammering it into the side surface of the filter element. The oil filter is located at the front of the engine. If the oil filter bracket is removed from the engine, a new gasket must be installed during installation.
Tighten the bolts securing the filter bracket to the engine block with a torque of 25 Nm. Do not grease or seal the gasket. Recommendations regarding the installation of the T4 oil filter are given on its label.
Replace the rubber o-ring before installing the filter element. It should be lightly lubricated with engine oil and placed in the filter cover. The filter element is screwed on by hand. No tools should be used for this, it is recommended to pre-fill the filter with clean oil. ♦ Check the engine oil level.
♦ Start the engine and check the tightness of the sealing ring under the filter, tighten the oil filter Conveyor T4 if necessary.
