Having launched its three-door HR-V model on the automotive market and having the CR-V in the program, Honda Corporation is not going to stop there.
The company's management sees the next step in expansion in the creation of a full-size SUV. But these gigantic (by Japanese standards) cars will be tested with the most modern technologies and the most daring stylistic decisions. What is worth, for example, the appearance of the Honda SUV presented in our illustration, the debut of which is scheduled for 2005. Perhaps by this time, extensive transparent surfaces will become commonplace, but so far it looks very original - it looks like a huge glass "beetle".
The length of the car exceeds 5 meters, and the wheels, shod in wide high-profile rubber, have a diameter of 20 inches. The hydropneumatic suspension with all its advantages very successfully “fitted” into the design - a variable ground clearance for an SUV is very useful.
All proposed engines will have a direct fuel injection system. The weakest of them, according to preliminary information, develops 220 hp. and the most powerful is 350.
