On a 6-cylinder VW T4 , an automatic transmission is optionally installed.
The transmission is equipped with a “kickdown” mode, which, when the “gas” pedal is pressed all the way, switches the transmission to a lower gear, which provides accelerated acceleration of the car, which is necessary, for example, for overtaking. Automatic transmission shift drive
When the gear is engaged, the selection movement is transmitted from the selector lever in the cab through a cable drive to the automatic transmission lever (see Fig. 348).

When servicing, lubricate all pivot bearing bushings with molybdenum disulphite grease.
