On a 6-cylinder VW T4 , an automatic transmission is optionally installed.

Automatic transmission shift drive

When the gear is engaged, the selection movement is transmitted from the selector lever in the cab through a cable drive to the automatic transmission lever (see Fig. 348).

When servicing, lubricate all pivot bearing bushings with molybdenum disulphite grease.
