Disassembly and assembly of the VR6 engine

When repairing the T4 Transporter engine , you must always remember the following.
If, after disassembling the engine, you find metal chips or other signs of wear in the cylinder block, it is necessary, in addition to thoroughly cleaning the oil channels, to replace all oil jets, the check valve that regulates the return of oil, and the oil cooler, since metal particles could settle in these nodes. If you want to completely disassemble and assemble the T4 engine, then you only need to sequentially perform the individual work steps in the described sequence.
When disassembling the engine, remember to mark the mounting position of all moving or sliding parts in order to return them to their original position during assembly.
This is especially important for pistons, valves, bearing caps and bearing shells. Parts when disassembling the T4 must be laid out so that they cannot be confused.
In no case should the sliding surfaces of bearings and sealing surfaces be marked with a scriber, no numbers should be stamped on them.
Many parts are made of aluminum and its alloys and must be handled accordingly. ♦ Remove all engine accessories from the engine.
