Lighting system
The Transporter T4 lighting system includes;
main headlights, rear headlights, brake light repeaters, direction indicator lights, front and rear fog lights, license plate lights, engine compartment light, interior dome lights. It is not recommended to increase the power of lamps when replacing, in addition to increased power consumption, damage to lamp diffusers is possible. Lamp replacement is recommended to be done with the ignition off and the corresponding switch off. Replacing exterior light bulbs
Main headlights
♦ Open the engine hood.
♦ If you need to replace the left headlight bulb, you will have to unscrew the fastener and remove the battery cover.
♦ Disconnect the lamp connector from the back of the headlight, remove the rubber cap.
♦ Open the wire spring retainer of the lamp socket.
♦ Replace the lamp.
♦ Try not to take a new lamp by the bulb.
When installing, align the tabs on the bulb socket with the slots in the headlight lens. In this case, the middle of the three contacts of the lamp socket will be on top. ♦ Replace the wire spring retainer by locking it into the slots in the headlight lens.
♦ Replace the cover and connect the lamp connector.
♦ Adjust the headlights if necessary.
Front position light
♦ Located in the main headlight reflector.
♦ Turn the lamp base to the left and remove it from the reflector.
The connecting harness can not be disconnected. ♦ Replace the lamp.
♦ Insert the cartridge into the reflector and turn it to the right as far as it will go.
♦ Front turn signal light.
♦ Open the engine hood.
♦ Models since 1996: Disconnect the wire spring retainer from the inside of the lantern (see fig. 522).
♦ Models up to 1996: insert a screwdriver from above between the main headlight and the direction indicator lamp (see Fig. 521). In this case, the latch is pressed to the side.

♦ Remove the flashlight by pushing with a screwdriver.
♦ Replace the lamp.
♦ Insert the lantern into the upper and lower rails and push the lantern into place until the lock audibly clicks into place.
♦ Close the hood.
