Lower wishbone replacement

The method of fastening the lower transverse arm Conveyor T4 is shown in fig. 389.

Rice.
389 Lower transverse arm mounting 1 - nut, 25 Nm, 2 - washer, 3 - upper rubber bushing, 4 - shock absorber bracket, 5 - bolt, 100 Nm, 6 - lower rubber bushing, 7 - spacer sleeve, 8 - shock absorber, 9 - nut, 100 Nm, 11 - front silent block, 12 - air guide sheet (only in vehicles with 14" wheels), 13 - nut, 110 Nm, 14 - lower ball joint, 15 - front arm bearing bolt, 16 - rear bearing eccentric bolt, 17 - lower transverse arm, 18 - rear silent block, 19 - eccentric washer, 20 - nut, 75 Nm + 90º, 21 - stabilizer support, 22 - bolt securing stabilizer support and shock absorber to lower arm

Pay special attention to the fact that a device for adjusting the angle of advance of the steering knuckle is placed in the rear mount of the lever.
It consists of an M12 eccentric bolt (16) on one side and an eccentric washer (19) on the other. If the nut of the bolt (16) has been unscrewed for any reason (e.g. when removing the lower control arm), the bolt (16) must be replaced. Tighten the bolts of the lower lever after the car is put on the wheels and under the weight of the car, the rubber-metal bushing (silent block) has taken its working position. Proceed as follows when removing and installing the lower transverse arm:
♦ Mount the balance supports in the suspension.
Raise and place stands under the front of the car. Remove the front wheel. ♦ Remove both bolts securing the lower ball joint to the steering knuckle.
If the lower wishbone needs to be replaced, the nut (13) can also be unscrewed. Otherwise, there is no need to remove the ball joint. ♦ Loosen the nut (9) and knock out the long bolt (22).
This will cause the shock absorber arm (8) to disengage the air guide plate (12) if it is attached to the stabilizer mount. Now you can, by pressing down, disconnect the lower transverse arm from the steering knuckle. ♦ Mark the position of the eccentric bolt (16) and the eccentric washer in relation to the support of the front suspension mounting in the beam.
The setting of these two parts must be kept during assembly, as it determines the angle of advance of the steering knuckle. But, because If the bolt (16) has to be replaced, the marks must be transferred to the new bolt. ♦ Loosen the nut (20) and drive in the bolt (16).
♦ From the front of the transverse arm, remove the nut (10) and knock out the bolt (15).
♦ Remove the lower control arm from the vehicle.
♦ Install the lever in reverse order.
The tightening torques are given in the notes to fig. 389. Nuts of the forward and back bearing tighten only after the car is removed from supports. ♦ Tighten the nut (20) to a torque of 75 Nm and another quarter turn (90º).
♦ After tightening the rear mount, check that the eccentric washer and bolt are in their original position.
