Upper wishbone replacement
The upper control arms can only be removed after the front suspension beam assembly has been removed. This is a very difficult job and should only be done if the T4 bushings .
When removing the lever, use these drawings. First of all, you need to remove the torsion bar. The relevant instructions are given above. Detachment of the spherical hinge from a rotary fist see fig. 384-387. After completing these steps, the upper transverse arm will be connected only to the suspension beam and after removing the mounting bolts, it can be disconnected. The lever is installed in the reverse order.
The tightening torques given in the relevant figures must be observed. It must be remembered that the tightening torques of the front and rear bearing nuts are not the same, and also that these bolts can only be finally tightened after the vehicle is on wheels. After installing the T4 front suspension , the height of the vehicle must be measured and adjusted if necessary (see above).
